'Rajiv Talent Awards' becomes Telugu Self-respect Awards

Hyderabad,Jan 19, 2015: The Telugu Desam Government is trying its best to erase the memories of previous Congress Government from the minds of the people. As part of the initiative, it first succeeded in renaming the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport after NTR with the help of the Centre. The TDP Government also started removing the titles of Rajiv Gandhi or Indira Gandhi attached to various schemes which are implemented by it. Continuing the trend, the Government has on Monday issued orders removing the prefix of Rajiv Gandhi from the Rajiv Gandhi Talent Awards program. As per the orders, the program has been rechristened as Telugu Self Respect Awards. The name of Rajiv or Rajiv Gandhi will soon be removed from some other schemes and programs very soon.
