Hyderabadis to experience 4-hour power cuts from Mid-February

Hyderabad, Jan 17: In view of severe atmospheric changes, 2015 summer is likely to be hotter than 2014. With the result, Telangana discoms are anticipating the power demand to be higher this summer in the state, especially in Hyderabad, according to Satish Kumar, chief engineer, Metro Zone. Meanwhile, a senior official of SPCDCL indicated that people in Hyderabad must be ready for four-hour power cuts from mid-February. The officials said that in the rest of the state, the power cuts could go up to six hours or even more.
