Late MLA's wife to contest as TDP candidate in Tirupati by-poll

Tirupati, Jan 16, 2015 : Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced that late MLA M.Venkataramana's wife Sugunamma will be party's candidate in Tirupati by election. Naidu has announced her candidature after discussions with party leaders at his residence at Naravaripally near here. The by-election to Tirupati was necessitated following the death of TDP MLA Venkataramana recently. The election will be held on Feb 13. It has become a common practice for the political parties to announce the candidature of widows of the late MLAs for the by polls. TDP has also announced the candidature of the wife of Venkataramana in tune with the practice.
