Vizag police arrest Pangi Bhaskara, while 12 other maoists surrender

Visakhapatnam, Jan 13: Andhra Pradesh police have arrested Pangi Bhaskara Rao (22), an active member of Galikonda area committee of banned CPI (Maoist). Police, meanwhile, arrested Pangi Bhaskara Rao at Chintapalli. In another development, a member of Kalimela area committee Korra Santhi along with 11 active militia members from Pedavalasa area surrendered to police in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday. Korra Santhi was till recently active in Malkangiri area of Odisha. According to police, Pangi Bhaskara Rao (22) was linked to six murders and innumerable cases of arson and blasting of AP Forest Development Corporation’s coffee pulp unit.
