Uber rape case: Court frames charges against cab driver

New Delhi, Jan 13: A court here Tuesday framed rape and other charges against a Uber cab driver accused of sexually assaulting a woman executive here Dec 5 amid high drama as he refused to sign the order. Later, he pleaded not guilty and sought trial in the case. Additional Sessions Judge Kaveri Baweja framed charges under sections 376 (rape), 366 (kidnapping or abducting woman) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code against Shiv Kumar Yadav. The court fixed Jan 15 for recording of statement of prosecution witness.
