Panagariya takes charge as NITI Aayog's VC
New Delhi, Jan 13: Arvind Panagariya on Tuesday assumed office as the first vice-chairman of the newly-created NITI Aayog in Delhi.
CEO of NITI Aayog Sindhushree Khullar and other officials were present.
Panagariya is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi later today. The prime minister is the chairman of the Aayog.
The central government has appointed former DRDO chief V.K. Saraswat and economist Bibek Debroy and as full-time members. They are likely to join soon.
