Aluri Kirankumar is new ISRO Chairman

Sullurupet, Jan 13, 2015:Senior space scientist Aluri Kiran Kumar has been appointed as Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Presently working as the Director of the Space Applications Center at Ahmadabad, Kiran Kumar will take over from the stop-gap Chairman Sailesh Nayak. Hailing from Karnartaka, Kiran Kumar joined ISRO in 1975 and worked in several key assignments. He will hold the Chairman post for the next three years. Kiran Kumar played key role in Mangalyan and Chandrayan-1 projects.
