KCR : No illegalities in construction of Ramoji Film City

Warangal, Jan 12, 2015: Reversing his stand on Ramoji Film City, Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao on Sunday said he never uttered any thing harsh against the Ramoji Film City during the Telangana agitation. Addressing a press meet here after winding up his 3-day tour of the Warangal district, KCR said Ramoji Rao is investing Rs.4000 Cr for his upcoming Om City project. "Telangana Government will welcome investments from any one. We are only concerned with development," he said defending Ramoji Rao. Asserting he never made any harsh comments against Ramoji Rao, KCR said Ramoji Rao had given back the assigned lands to Dalits and had not even sought back the money paid for the lands. Showing impatience when a reporter questioned him about his recent visit to the Ramoji Film City in the backdrop of his assertion during T agitation that illegal encroachments of assigned lands took place in the construction of Ramoji Film City and he would dismantle it with 1 lakh ploughs after coming to power, KCR denied having made such comments. "I checked all the documents of Ramoji Film City. I found no irregularities in the acquisition of lands," he said.
