Thomas Kurian of India becomes chief of Oracle Corporation

New Delhi, Jan 11, 2015: 48-year old Thomas Kurian of India, Executive vice president (Product development ) of the Oracle Corporation, has been promoted as the President of the company. Joining Oracle Corporation in 1996, he held several senior positions in the company before being elevated as Executive Vice-President in 2009. Kurien hails from Pampadi of Kottayam district in Kerala and did his education in Bengaluru and USA. After completing MBA at Stanford University, Kurien worked as adviser to several software companies and venture funds.
