Naukri.com says there's no slowdown, IT firms are recruiting big

New Delhi, Jan 10: Promoters of India's job portal major Naukri.com claim that the IT sector in the country is doing very well and creating a lot of jobs. They are in fact hiring in 'big numbers', disclosed Info Edge (India) - the company that owns Naukri.com. According to Hitesh Oberoi, managing director and CEO, InfoEdge India, there is no slowdown in the IT sector in the recent months. In fact, Oberoi said, major IT companies continue to hire in big numbers. Stating that there could be an occasional recruitment freeze, Oberoi said the sector is as such looking healthy. As a mater of fact, he said, sectors including telecom, banking, insurance, infrastructure, power, energy and financial services are robust in hiring. He finally said that hiring could pick up during 2015.
