M'rashtra govt rejects Munnabhai's plea for extension of furlough
Pune, Jan 10: The Maharashtra government has rejected Hindi film actor Sanjay Dutt's petition for an extension of the furlough on Saturday and he has been asked to surrender at the Yerwada jail in Pune.
It may be recalled that on Friday Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had assured that his government will adhere to the law of the land and will not discriminate against any person.
Massive protests were sparked by Sanjay Dutt's frequent furloughs.
The officials of the Yerwada prison were also accused for giving Dutt “celebrity treatment".
The government had ordered an investigation into the frequent furloughs that wever being granted to the actor.
