VHP magazine teases Karina by showing her as half-Hindu, half Muslim

Mumbai, Jan 9, 2015: In a controversial move, Viswa Hindu Parishat magazine 'Himalaya Dhwani' has published on its cover page image of Bollywood actress Karina Kapoor showing her face half in Hindu and half in Islam. While the face in half shows her wearing Bindi on her forehead as per the Hindu tradition, the other half shows her wearing a Burkha in Islamic tradition. The cover page image gains significance in the wake of VHP's repeated assertions that Muslim youth are marrying Hindu women in the name of Love Jihadi and later converting them to Islam. In particular, VHP has repeatedly said that Hindu girls and Muslim boys are going astray after Karina Kapoor married a Muslim boy. Defending the cover page image, VHP said they have published the image protesting against her marriage with a Muslim boy and Muslim boys marrying Hindu girls in the name of love and later converting them into Islam. "If she has any objection, she can approach a court of law over the cover page," VHP said in a statement.
