UP police book BSP leader for supporting Paris terror strike

Meerut, Jan 9: Uttar Pradesh police have registered a case against former UP minister and Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) leader Yakub Quraishi for reportedly supporting the terror attack on the satirical magazine Charlie Hedbo in France. He is reported to defended the attack as the magazine had shown disrespect to the Prophet Mohammad. The BSP leader was booked under section 505, 1 (c) (with intent to incite, or likely to incite, any class or community of persons to commit any offence against other class or community) of the Indian Penal Code in Meerut. The leader is also reported to have offered Rs 51 crore to the terrorists. He was unavailable for comments.
