E-Challan system comes into force in Hyd

Hyderabad, Jan 8, 2015: The Hyderabad police have introduced E-Challan payment system for traffic violators with effect from Thursday putting a full stop for collection of fine amounts by constables. Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy said traffic violators can pay their challans through credit and debit cards at E-Seva and Mee Seva outlets in the city. "Traffic police will not collect amounts from violators at any place in the city. The new arrangement has come into force from today itself," the Home Minister said in a statement. Gradually, this will be extended to all other districts in the state, he said.
