Chandrababu castigates police functioning !

Hyderabad, Jan 8, 2015: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday expressed dissatisfaction at the working style of police officials from Constable to DGP. In a high level review meeting of the police department at the Secretariat here where DGP Ramudu and other senior officers have participated, Chandrababu said the police department has been functioning at its will and pleasure. "The police are affecting arrests and filing cases as per their choices. Performance is not up to the mark. The department is yet to upgrade itself in tune with the functioning of Government," he remarked, adding that even intelligence inputs are also not proper. Reports said he especially named IG of Intelligence wing Anuradha and Guntur Rural SP Ramakrishna who had reportedly stopped some foreign representatives at the gates when they came to meet him recently at Vijayawada. Chandrababu has also objected to police filing of cases against several farmers in Guntur district on grounds of suspiction.
