Seeking Rs. 100/200 from patients not corruption: TS Min Rajaiah
Manchiryala, Jan 8, 2015: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and health minister Dr T.Rajaiah on Thursday defended the doctors and staff in Government hospitals collecting money from patients for treatment.
"If the staff seek Rs. 100 or Rs. 200 from patients , that is not wrong. Kindly don't treat it as corruption," he told reporters before leaving Manchiryal Area Hospital where he had stayed for the night.
Patients should lodge complaints to RDO, DMHO and District Collector only when they are harassed by hospital staff.
The minister, who had earlier said five persons died of Swine Flue in the state, has also changed his stance and said there are no Swine Flue deaths.
