Policemen engage Maoists in gun battle in Khammam dist.

Hyderabad, Jan 6: Police engaged Maoists in a gund battle on Tuesday in the Khammam district of Telangana, even as naxals torched six road-lying vehicles at another location in the district, police said. Special police exchanged fire with naxals early Tuesday in a forest area of Khammam district bordering Chhattisgarh state. Meanwhile, late Monday night rebels torched at least six road lying vehicles under Wazeedu police station limits of Khammam district, police said.
