Shoreline erosion: AP CM sets up body to find solution
Hyderabad, Jan 6: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is reported to have set up a committee to find a solution to combat the phenomena of shoreline erosion in north coastal Andhra.
He is believed to have appointed Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) chairman Krishna Babu as the Coordinator for the panel.
Some of the other members of the panel include officials from National Institute of Ocean Technology, National Institute of Oceanography, APSRAC, Andhra University, IIT Chennai and other ports.
The committee has been mandated to find a solution to prevent shoreline erosion.
Meanwhile, Chandrababu is believed to have directed the district officials to strengthen beach boundaries between Rushikonda and Visakhapatnam city.
