Munugode bypoll: TRS leading in fifth round
Munugode, November 6: The ruling TRS is leading by about 900 votes after the fifth round of counting of Munugode bypoll. The counting started at 8 am on Sunday morning at FCI godwon in Arjalabavi village in Nalgonda district amid tight security arrangements.
After the fifth round counting, TRS won 6,162 votes and BJP got 5,245 votes. TRS had a majority of 917 votes and leading by 1,631 votes. The final results will be declared at 3 pm today.
Meanwhile, Praja Shanti Party chief KA Paul alleged that irregularities took place in Munugode bypoll. He expressed doubts on keeping 200 empty EVMs along with others and demanded cancellation of the bypoll.
BJP State president Bandi Ajay suspected foul in State Chief Election Officer’s attitude while declaring bypoll results. He spewed fire that the officials are not updating election results as per rounds unless TRS is in lead. He alleged that the CEO was not revealing the results even though BJP is in leading. He demanded to explain why there is delay in announcing rounds-wise results and warned of complaining to Central Election Commission if any mistakes took place in the results.
