Woman attempts suicide over not getting Jagan’s appointment

Vijayawada, November 2: A woman attempted suicide near Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s office in Amaravati on Wednesday after she failed to get an appointment to meet the CM. 
 
Arudra, native of Rajulapudi village, Kakinada rural mandal, has a daughter Sailakshmi Chandra. The girl had backbone issue and didn’t cure even after three surgeries.  The woman said that when she tried to sell her house for her daughter’s treatment, Minister Dadishetti Raja gunman and another constable were forcing her to sell the Rs 40 lakh worth house to Rs 10 lakh to them. 
 
Arudra went to CM camp office at Tadepalli on Tuesday to request him for financial help through CM funds. Since Jagan was at YSR awards function in Vijayawada, she went there to meet the CM. there the police didn’t allow her to meet Jagan. 
 
The woman lamented that she has been making rounds to the hospital with her wheelchair-bound daughter for the past three years. When she tried to meet CM Jagan on Wednesday, the officials didn’t give her appointment. Vexed over this, she tried to end her life by cutting her wrist with a blade.
