RRR wins ‘The Best International Film’ award

Hyderabad, October 26: The global hit movie ‘RRR’ directed by SS Rajamouli has won the Best International Film award at the 50th Saturn Awards. The movie was nominated in several categories including Best International movie, best action adventure and best director.
 
The RRR movie, a story about two freedom fighters – Alluri Sitarama Raju (played by Ram Charan) and Jr NTR (as Komaram Bheem), who fights for a common cause against the British – had minted over Rs 1,000 crore at the worldwide box office.
 
As Rajamouli is busy in promotional programmes as RRR is going to be released in Japan, he sent a video message. He said, “I felt elated that our movie got the prestigious award. I thank the jury on behalf of our entire team. This is the second award for me, the first one was for ‘Bahubali 2. I couldn’t attend the awards function since I am in Japan participating in RRR promotional programmes in Japan. I congratulate all the winners.”
