Capital region farmers meet Jagan, complain of police harassment

Hyderabad, JaNn 5, 2015: Several farmers from the AP capital region villages met YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy here on Monday and complained that the police have been victimizing them in the case relating to arson attack in their farm fields. They told Jagan Mohan Reddy that the Police have arrested 25 farmers and YSRCP activists opposing the land pooling policy of the Government. "Some 25 activists and pro-YSRCP farmers were arrested and kept in Tadepally, Mangalagiri and Tulluru police stations. Police are forcing them to accept the crime," the farmers complained to the YSRCP chief. They also told him that their lands are being taken away by the officials by force. Jagan Mohan Reddy assured them he would stand by them and support their cause.
