2 die in cracker shop fire in Vijayawada

Vijayawada, October 23: Two persons died and several others received burn injuries after fire broke out in the cracker shops arranged at gymkhana grounds at Gandhi Nagar in Vijayawada. The incident took place at 7 am on Sunday. 18 cracker shops were totally gutted in fire mishap.
 
Fire broke out in a cracker shop suddenly in the morning and the organisers immediately informed firefighting staff. Four fire engines finally doused the fire. The injured were shifted to a local hospital and undergoing treatment.
