AP capital is Amaravati only: Rahul Gandhi

Kurnool, October 19: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi observed that it will be better if Amaravati is the capital of Andhra Pradesh. He said that three capitals to AP is not a wise decision, while speaking with the media in Kurnool. Rahul is touring AP as part of Bharat Jodo Yatra.
 
Rahul Gandhi said that the farmers, who gave their lands for the construction of Amaravati capital, met him and extended his full support to them. He said that it is the responsibility of the Central government to fulfill State bifurcation promises including Polavaram project. 
 
Stating that its unnecessary to discuss about State bifurcation now, the Congress leader assured that they will give special to status to AP if Congress comes to power. Replying to a question whether the party takes YSRCP support to form government at the Centre, Rahul said party president will take decisions over alliances.
 
Reacting to the allegations over rigging in Congress president election, Rahul Gandhi said that the elections were held under the guidance of election authority chairman Madhusudan Mistree and he will enquire the complaint raised by Sashi Tharoor and his followers.
