SC youth hacked to death in Guntur

Guntur, October 19: In a shocking incident, a SC youth was brutally murdered by some people in Guntur city on Tuesday night. He tried to save himself by hiding in a nearby shop but the assailants followed him and killed with sickles and swords.
 
The incident took place at around 8 pm on Tuesday near Babu Hotel (Erukuri road) near Kanyaka Parameswari Ammavari temple, Patnam Bazar. Shop owners and people, who were there at the time, were terrified.
 
Police identified the victim as Doddi Ramesh (38). He belongs to SC community and has finance business. He also takes up decoration works for functions. The victim’s mother said that Ramesh got a call and went out of the house and murdered.
 
Police reportedly took a person into custody. Two special police parties are searching for the accused. Police said that a rowdy sheet case was filed against Ramesh in Lalapet police station. Also, the victim was accused in a murder case that took place at Chakalikunta in old Guntur earlier. 
 
Meanwhile, the victim’s wife Latha alleged that rowdy sheeter RK of Budampadu had killed her husband.
