Gaddar to contest Munugode by-poll

Hyderabad, October 6: Revolutionary balladeer Gaddar, whose name is Gummadi Vittal Rao, is going to contest Munugode by-election on Praja Shanti Party ticket. This is the first election Gaddar to contest after he broke ties with Naxalites a few year ago.

PSP chief KA Paul announced Gaddar’s candidature and said that he will campaign in Munugode from Thursday onwards. He further said if BJP, TRS and Congress support Gaddar, then PSP will withdraw from the field and will contest as independent candidate. Paul said that he will be with Gaddar in Munugode till the election concludes.

Gaddar offered lemon water to KA Paul to withdraw his hunger strike. Paul launched hunger strike on October 2, protesting the police denying permission to conduct peace meeting. Gaddar said that he joined PSP seeking world peace, though many parties in Telangana invited him to join hands with them. Stating that he will do door-to-door campaigning, he said that he has no money and also he will not give money for vote. ‘I am contesting this election to protect the constitution,’ he added.
