17 senior citizens injured in bus-truck smash near Sangareddy

Sangareddy, Jan 3: In a bus-truck collision, 17 senior citizens received injuries near Sangareddy in Medak district on Saturday morning. According to Patancheru police, the bus, which was hired by the NGO Help Age India Foundation, was carrying at least 40 aged persons. The NGO is said to have arranged an excursion to Nagarjunasagar for the senior citizens in the area. At the time of the accident, the bus was on its way to Nagarjunasagar. A truck coming from the opposite direction rammed the bus while taking a U-turn near Isnapur on the Hyderabad-Mumbai highway, police said. Police shifted the injured persons to government hospitals at Patancheru, Sangareddy and Hyderabad.
