Srikalahasti CI in news for wrong reasons

Tirupati, October 1: Anju Yadav, working as a Circle Inspector (CI) in the temple town, Srikalahasti, has thrashed a woman in the middle of the road. According to reports, the CI approached a woman running a hotel and asked her to tell hiding location of her husband. The cop got angry on her for saying she doesn’t know. 
 
The CI assaulted her and forcefully made her to sit in the jeep and shifted her to the police station. Anju did not stop beating the woman despite her son requesting her. Even, he told CI that her mother underwent major surgery recently.  
 
The injured woman was admitted to Ruia Hospital in Tirupati for treatment. The victim’s husband Hari narrated the incident to the media and said that she has been harassing him for the last few months. Now, the video of Anju thrashing the woman went viral on social media. The CI came under criticism for unruly behaviour in several incidents. Recently, she manhandled two Opposition leaders for staging a protest.
