Krishna district: Woman techie cheated of Rs 17 lakh with lucrative job offer
Addanki, September 27: A woman techie from Krishna district cheated of Rs 17 lakh on the pretext offering a better job. According to Addanki SI RSN Murthy, Lingamaneni Divya hailing from Kuchipudi village of Movva mandal in Krishna district has been working as a software engineer in Bengaluru for the last two years.
On April 12 this year, she forwarded her resume to another company. P. Srinivas Kiran Babu belonging to Kotikalapudi village in Addanki mandal got hold of her personal information from the resume. He made friendship with her by changing his name to Pinnamaneni Sai Karthik Babu on social media. The accused informed Divya that he was opening a software company and offered her a better job.
Believing his words, she deposited Rs 10 lakh in his account on June 3 and remaining Rs 7 lakhs later. After receiving money, he switched off his mobile. Realising that she was cheated, Divya lodged a complaint with Addanki police station. Cops registered a case and launched a hunt to nab the accused.
