Centre conspiring to privatize farming: KCR

Hyderabad, September 13: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao alleged that the Centre is conspiring to handover agriculture and power sectors to corporate people. During discussion at Assembly on Monday, KCR said that the Central government has already privatizing railways, LIC, airports etc and now farming and power sectors only remained. He alleged, “Fertilizers prices are increased. Meters to current bores are made compulsory. Finally when farmers are unable to do farming, then corporate people will enter.” He alleged that BJP leader Raghunandan is misleading the Assembly by furnishing lies.

The CM stated that the AP electricity department has to pay Rs 17,828 crore to Telangana. The Telangana has its quota in Krishnapatnam thermal power plant. He said that the Central Power Ministry has disclosed that the Telangana government has to pay more than Rs 6,000 crores, including Rs 3,000 crore dues and interest of Rs 3,000 crore, to AP government. KCR said that since AP government has to pay Rs 17,828 crores, it can deduct Rs 6,000 crores and can pay the remaining amount.

He challenged to resign to his post if his statistics about electricity are proved wrong.
