Woman, son found murdered in Vizag
Visakhapatnam, September 9: The bodies of a woman and her son, who were cruelly murdered on Thursday evening, have created sensation in Visakhapatnam. The incident took place in JNNURM Colony Madinabagh on the outskirts of Vizag.
Mangi Gouramma (55) lives in block number 3 in the colony and she has three sons and one daughter. After her death, she is eking out living by selling food items at Madhinabagh liquor shop. Her second son Polareddy (35) and third son are living at different floors in the same block. Polareddy is unmarried and helps out his mother.
According to sources, three miscreants went to Gouramma’s house and taphetnped the door. By hearing the sound, Polareddy opened the door of his flat. At the same time Gouramma also opened the door. The accused dragged Polareddy to his mother’s house. They killed Gouramma by slitting her throat. Her son tried to stop them, then they killed Polareddy also by tying up his hands and legs and strangled with a piece of cloth in his mouth.
Police inspected the spot with clues team and dog squad. They collected key evidences after enquiring the family members. They took some accused into custody.
Police found chilli powder sprayed on the floor of the flats of both mother and son. Cops found cap of the chilli powder tin at the spot and the tin in the house of third son. Police are interrogating victim’s daughter-in-law and others also.
