Raja Singh’s wife moves Telangana HC challenging PD Act

Hyderabad, September 7: Gosha Mahal MLA Raja Singh’s wife filed a petition in High Court challenging the PD Act invoked by Hyderabad police against her husband. She sought to suspend the Act and to sanction bail to him.
 
MLA Raja Singh was arrested after his remarks on Prophet Muhammad sparked controversy in Hyderabad old city. Police arrested him for the second time and filed a case under PD Act. After arresting him at his house, police took him directly to Nampally court. The Judge ordered for judicial remand and police shifted him to Cherlapally jail.
 
The officials have stepped up security for the suspended MLA in the jail. He was shifted from Manasa barrack to Sarada barrack. Intelligence officials are enquiring everyone, who is coming to the prison to meet Raja Singh.
