‘Cobra’ is the most challenging film in my career: Vikram; Irfan Pathan makes debut
Hyderabad: ‘Cobra' is an action thriller directed by R Ajay Gnanamuthu starring Chiyan Vikram as the protagonist. Produced by SS Lalit Kumar under the banner of Seven Screen Studios, the film is slated to release on August 31. Recently the unit of 'Cobra' film held a press meet in Hyderabad. On the occasion, Vikram, Srinidhi, Meenakshi, Mrinalini Ravi and producer NV Prasad shared the details about the film.
Hero Vikram said, “After starting the movie, we faced situations like Covid. By crossing all of them, we made the film without compromising. Assistant directors struggled a lot while filming in minus degrees in Russia. We worked very hard.”
This is Irfan Pathan's first film. He did not know much about acting when he came to the sets. But, director Ajay trained and groomed him as a professional actor. Tirupathi Prasad is very happy to release such a good movie in Telugu, he said.
Later, the Cobra film unit interacted with the media and answered the queries posed by scribes.
Is the protagonist a villain or a hero in the film?
Vikram: You never know when a cobra will bite, and a cobra can change its skin. My role is the same. There are different shades in my role. There are many variations in dubbing, too. ‘Cobra’ was the most challenging film in my career.
‘Aparichutudu’ has a great message. Is there any such message in ‘Cobra’, too?
Vikram: ‘Cobra’ doesn't have a message, but is an emotional drama about love and family. The audience will connect to it in a great way.
Where does the inspiration come from to do such difficult roles?
Vikram: I am crazy about acting. Try to do something different. My effort is always to give a new experience to the audience.
What is the greatest quality you notice in Vikram and Yash?
Srinidhi: Both are dedicated to acting. Vikram has been working for many years. He is very humble on the sets.
How is Vikram on the sets?
Srinidhi: Very fun. A lot of pranks are done.
Mrinalini: I assumed that before shooting with Vikram, he would be very serious on the sets. But, he was seen playing games and playing pranks. Hence, all my fear has gone.
Meenakshi: Vikram is a great actor. There is great energy when he is on the sets. His energy cannot be matched.
