Doctors perform surgery while showing movie to patient in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, August 26: In a rare surgery, the doctors of Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad performed surgery while showing a movie to the patient.
 
A 60-year-old woman of Yadadri district suffering from sickness was admitted to Gandhi hospital recently. After conducting tests, doctors identified that a dangerous tumor was growing in her brain and decided to conduct ‘awake craniotomy’ as normal surgery may be dangerous to her life. This is a surgical procedure where the patient is deliberately kept awake to avoid brain damage.
 
While doing the brain surgery, doctors and other staff have kept her active by continuously speaking with her. When she told that she likes Chiranjeevi starrer Adavi Donga movie,  they showed her the movie on computer tab while doing the surgery for about two hours and successfully remove the tumor. 
 
Doctors were happy as the surgery, conducted first time in Gandhi Hospital, was success.
