PD Act Invoked against BJP MLA Raja Singh: Hyderabad Police Commissioner

Hyderabad: PD Act has been registered against BJP MLA Raja Singh, disclosed Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand. He told the media on Thursday that Raja Singh had made comments denigrating religion and community many times.

It is mentioned that there is a rowdy sheet against Raja Singh in the Mangalahat Police Station in the past in the Old City of Hyderabad. He said that based on these cases PD Act was registered against the BJP MLA. The Commissioner revealed that he was given a 32-page PD act document before his arrest.

Meanwhile, on August 2, Raja Singh made provocative comments on a YouTube channel. He said that Raja Singh had spoken offensively against Prophet Muhammad. Meanwhile, this is the first time in the history of Telugu states that a PD Act has been registered against an MLA. Since 2004, 101 criminal cases have been registered against Raja Singh. It includes 18 religious cases. Some of these were dismissed without proper evidence and others are under court proceedings.
