BJP activists try to lay siege to MLC Kavitha’s house

Hyderabad, August 23: High tension prevailed for a while near the house of TRS MLC K Kavitha on Monday after BJP activists tried to lay siege her house. They demanded to suspend Kavitha from MLC post as she is facing allegations in Delhi liquor scam. 
 
Later police arrested the agitators. But BJP leaders prevented the police from shifting the protestors to remand and raised anti-government slogans.
 
It should be noted here BJP alleged that Kavitha was complicit in Delhi liquor case. Kavitha gave a clarification that she has nothing to do with the scam and alleged that the BJP leaders are wantonly trying to defame KCR family. She even stated to file a defamation case against BJP MP Parvesh Verma and former BJP MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
 
Meanwhile, police filed attempt to murder case against the BJP leaders, who tried to lay siege Kavitha’s house. The Centre became angry over this and spoke with Telangana party chief Bandi Sanjay over phone.
