MLC Anantha Babu’s mother dies, requests for bail

Kakinada, August 22: MLC Anantha Babu’s mother Mangaratnam expired on Sunday night. She has been suffering from a kidney-related disease. The body was now resting at his house in Sriram Nagar in Kakinada. 
 
Anantha Babu has to perform her final rights since he is the only son. His family members are trying to get bail for the MLC. Advocates on behalf of the MLC would file a bail petition in the court on Monday. 
 
It should be noted here that the MLC has been charged with the murder of his driver Subrahmanyam on May 19 and has been in remand at Rajahmundry central jail for the past 91 days. The court had rejected his bail plea twice. 
 
Meanwhile, Rajahmundry SC, ST court had rejected the charge sheet filed by police against MLC Anantha Babu, quoting the charge sheet as incomplete.
