Panchayats display details of farmers, lands on notice boards

Guntur, Jan 2, 2014: As the Government has issued notification for land pooling for construction of capital city, officials of 27 Gram Panchayats in the capital development region have placed details of lands available and their owners in their notice boards. Land pooling teams visiting the villages will deliver receipts on the spot to the farmers willing to give their lands. The government rules for land pooling for capital city bars farmers from approaching courts, staging demonstrations and demanding hike in compensation in future once they hand over their consent letters. Once they agree for giving their land, the farmers should submit their original documents along with latest receipts of land cess paid. Meanwhile, Municipal Administration Minister Narayana is touring the capital region villages and meeting farmers. At Nelapadu, he thanked the farmers for coming forward voluntarily to give their lands for capital city.
