Vizag pscho killer nabbed

Visakhapatnam, August 17: The police on Tuesday nabbed the pscho killer, who created havoc with his serial murders in Pendurti.

According to the police, Chandaka Rambabu (49), native of Dharmasagaram of Narsipatnam mandal, Anakapalli district, along with his wife and two children, shifted to Hyderabad in 2006. He used to work in real estate business. He divorced his wife in 2018 alleging that his wife had an illicit affair with the house owner. This apparently developed hatred in him towards women. After his son and daughter distanced themselves from the accused, he became a loner.

Rambabu used to target women, who work as watchmen of apartments under construction. He attacked T Nallamma, who works as watchman of Brindavan Gardens in Pendurti, on July 9 night with a iron rod. He killed S Appa Rao (72) and Lakshmi (62), watchmen in Chinamushidivada on August 8 by beating them with the iron rod. On August 14, he murdered A Lakshmi, watchman of Sujatha Nagar Nagamalli layout.

Since the modus operandi is same, police focused on the incidents and arrested Rambabu. Police said that Rambabu used to check the private parts of the women before killing them to confirm whether they are women or not. But he never sexually assaulted his victims, they added.
