TTD JEO chased on Tirumala streets by angry devotees !

Tirumala, Jan 1, 2015: Denied Darshan of the Lord even after a day long wait on the most auspicious day of Vaikunta Ekadasi, thousands of Lord Venkateswara devotees chased the Joint Executive Officer Srinivasa Raju on the streets of the temple town here on Thursday. The JEO, an IAS officer, ran for his life fearing assault from the devotees. The devotees, who included ordinary people and families of the security men posted on security duty on the Seven Hills, sent shivers down the spine of the TTD senior officer when they blocked his vehicle and questioned him on his failure to provide Darshan for all. Sensing trouble after being questioned by a ferocious crowd of devotees, he took to his feet and ran from the place. The angered devotees then chased him on the Tirumala streets. Some where on the streets, police came to his rescue and escorted him out safely.
