Five killed in road accident in Prakasam district

Prakasam, August 9: Fiver persons died in an accident in Prakasam district in the early hours of Monday. The mishap took place when a lorry hit the car from behind near Kambam. The car was on its way to Tirupati from Macherla.
 
The deceased were identified as Guruvamma (60), Animireddy (60), Anantamma (55), Adilakshmi (58) and Nagireddy (24). All the deceased belong to Sirigipadu of Veldurti mandal of Palnadu district.
 
Police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to Kambam Government Hospital for postmortem. A case was registered and investigation is on.
