Pakistan Army mulls anti-terror plan
Islamabad, Jan 1: Pakistani Army chief Gen. Raheel Sharif is chairing a meeting Thursday to discuss implementation of the anti-terror action plan of the corps commanders in Rawalpindi.
The agenda is to discuss the anti-terror plan, establishment of military courts, matters pertaining to professional affairs of the military and progress on the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb against militants in North Waziristan tribal region, Dawn online reported.
Gen. Sharif has taken the corps commanders into confidence over the action plan which had been agreed upon by all political stakeholders in the country.
The corps commanders also endorsed the plan and agreed that the army will work side-by-side with the citizens of Pakistan to counter terrorism.
