Fake doctor arrested, who treated 43,000 patients in 4 years

Warangal, August 4: Taskforce officials on Wednesday arrested a fake doctor and his assistant for treating patients without the educational qualification, in Warangal. During enquiry, it came to know that the fake doctor had treated about 43,000 patients in a span of four years. 
 
Briefing the media, Police Commissioner Tarun Joshi said that Mujataba Ahmed of Warangal was a drop out of B Pharmacy course and worked as an assistant at a local doctor. As he was not satisfied with the salary, he donned the role of a doctor. He created a fake certificate as doing MBBS from AIIMS. He started a clinic ‘Healthcare Pharmacy’ at Chintal in Warangal in 2018. Damerakonda Santosh joined as his assistant. 
 
Mujataba used to charge patients huge amounts for treatment. He used to check and prescribe medicines even when not needed. The fake doctor will make the patients panic and refer them to big hospitals and collected commissions. 
 
Based on reliable information on the fake doctor, taskforce officials raided his clinic. They recovered fake doctor certificates, Rs 1.90 lakh cash, laptop, three mobiles and lab instruments.
