Marredpally SI stabbed

Hyderabad, August 3: Marredpally SI was stabbed by unidentified persons, who was on patrolling duty on Tuesday night. The severely wounded SI was rushed to Gita Nursing Home and he got four stitches on stomach part and four stitches at the back. Doctors said the SI condition is stable.
 
Police filed a case and started investigation.
 
According to police, SI Vinay Kumar along with another police personnel Satyanarayana was patrolling near Om Shanti tiffin centre on Tuesday night. They noticed two persons driving a bike without a number plate and stopped them. During enquiry, one of them stabbed SI Vinay Kumar with a small knife in his stomach and back. Later the duo escaped from the spot.
 
The accused were identified as Pawan and Sanjay, residents of Sanjay Nagar, Langar House. Both Sanjay and Pawan are old criminals, who were imprisoned under PD Act.
