Ranga theatre: Only 6 tickets sold in 3 days after buy one get one free offer in AP

Nandyal, July 28: Despite announcing buy one and get one free ticket offer, only six tickets were sold by Rangamahal theatre at Velugodu in the last three days. Currently, theatre is screening Naga Chaitanya starrer Thank You movie.
 
An employee working at Ranga theatre said that they are not getting good collections even though new movies are screened since the day of release for the last three months. “Management is not in a position to pay electricity bills and salaries to staff,” he mentioned. 
 
Telugu film industry experts are of the view that audience have matured after watching non-Indian movies on OTT platforms and social media during the pandemic. “Movie goers are not watching films in theatres because of piracy,” they opined.
 
To resolve all issues related to production costs, the Active Telugu Film Producers Guild (ATFPG) agreed to stop film shootings from August 1. Even some of the Tollywood actors decided to reduce remuneration.
