Police arrest 2 but under pressure not to reveal details in arson case ?

Guntur, Dec 31, 2014: The Guntur police have reportedly arrested two persons in connection with the blaze that ravaged the banana crops in several villages in the AP capital region in the wee hours of Monday. However, the police have kept secret the details disclosed by them in interrogation, according to reports. Reports in a section of the media said that night patrol police had arrested two persons carrying petrol cans Monday night. The police are of the view that the miscreants must have used petrol to set afire the fields. Suspicions are growing that the two must have been involved in the incident as the police have not yet disclosed the details of their interrogation even two days after their arrest. It is learnt that the police have kept quiet over their arrests under pressure from big wigs in Hyderabad as the disclosure may create some sort of sensation. On the other hand, the police have also unleashed a campaign to make people believe that the blaze was the handiwork of some psychos . People, especially the farmers, are demanding an impartial inquiry into the incident and punishment to the real culprits.
