Up Close With NKR: Kalyan Ram recalls ups and downs in life, his first movie with NBK

Hyderabad, July 26: Tollywood actor Nandamuri Kalyan Ram released a video with title ‘Up Close With NKR’ on Tuesday. He recalled his ups and downs in life. 
 
The actor said that he got a first chance to act in Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Bala Gopaludu movie as a child artist in 1989 when he was studying seventh standard. “With much hesitation and Balakrishna’s assurance, my father Nandamuri Harikrishna gave green signal for me to act,” he explained and added that he learnt nuisances in acting in Bala Gopaludu shooting. 
 
Kalyan Ram mentioned that his first film as a hero was ‘Toli Choopulone’ which was released in 2003. In the same year, one more movie ‘Abhimanyu’ also hit screens, he said and stated that he was disappointed as both failed at box office. 
 
The actor stated that some of them criticised him for leaving a highly paid job in the US and venturing into movies. “Athanokkade was produced in 2005 under my own banner NTR Arts,” he recalled and said that he learnt a lot about movies while making Athanokkade. 
 
Now, the movie making has changed drastically and Telugu films have become pan-world with massive success, he said and showered praises on Jr. NTR’s acting in RRR.
