‘AP bulletproof’ vehicles for KCR convoy

Hyderabad, July 24: Arrangements are going on for setting up new vehicles as part of security arrangements for Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. According to sources, the new convoy is being set up for the next year’s elections.

It came to know that eight white coloured Toyota land cruiser vehicles were shifted to a bulletproof windshield glass manufacturing company in Veerapaneni Gudem near Vijayawada. Also, reports say that two buses are getting ready with bulletproof windshields. All these vehicles were reportedly shifted in a special plane to Gannavaram airport and from there to Veerapanenu Gudem two days ago.

In the past, all the police departments in the country used to manufacture bulletproof vehicles in Jharkhand. Later the Jharkhand company set up a special unit in Veerapanenu Gudem, AP, making the process easier.

According to intelligence sources, vehicles of all VVIPs of AP, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Karnataka States are being manufactured in AP. As per reports, the CM’s new convoy will be ready in a week.
