Bride takes boat ride to groom’s house amid heavy rain

Kakinada, July 16: While people are struggling with heavy rains and floods in Konaseema district, a bride travelled in a boat and got married. 
 
According to information, marriage of Nalli Prashanti of Lankapet, Konaseema district, was fixed with Ganta Ashok Kumar of Keshanapalli village on Thursday (July 14). But Godavari floods surrounded Pedapatnam Lanka and there was no road transportation. Bride along with very few important family members reached Appanapalli causeway in a boat and from there reached wedding venue in a car in Keshanapalli.
 
Marriage was performed and the photos went viral on social media.
 
Meanwhile, same incident took place in Maharashtra. There was no road transportation due to heavy rains. A bridegroom of Korri village, Hadgav mandal, wore thermal sheet and travelled 7 km distance on a boat to reach Sangam Chincholi in Umarkhed mandal. His relatives also wore thermal sheets and attended the wedding.
