Stones hurled at MP Arvind’s convoy
Jagtial, July 16: BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind’s convoy was allegedly attacked by villagers at Erdandi, Ibrahimpatnam mandal in the district on Friday morning. They obstructed his convoy by putting tree branches on the road and attacked the cars with stones and sticks. The villagers criticized the MP for not solving the land issues in the village, which has been going on for the past several years.
MP Arvind was going to check Godavari river flood situation.
When the villagers staged a protest, argument took place between them and BJP leaders. With the help of police, the BJP MP inspected the Godavari river. While he was coming back, villagers pelted stones at the convoy, damaging the window shields of MP car and another car.
Meanwhile, MP Arvind alleged that Korutla MLA Vidyasagar Rao was involved in the attack. He further said that TRS leaders were attacking them as they couldn’t digest the BJP leaders questioning Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
